MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 Concludes with Strong Interest and Robust Collaborations

As one of the leading gatherings for the manufacturing technologies and machine tools sector in Eurasia, MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 took place from September 28 to October 3, drawing significant interest from both visitors and exhibitors. The event brought together brands and representatives from 32 countries, showcasing next-generation manufacturing technologies, artificial intelligence, robotics, automation, and digital production solutions. Furthermore, the attendance of thousands of students from eight different cities highlighted the growing interest among the younger generation in the machinery and manufacturing industry.

Organized by Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. in collaboration with the Machine Tools Industrialists and Business Association (TİAD), and supported by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye and the Association of Machinery Manufacturers (MİB), MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 was held at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center between September 28 and October 3.

The fair, which attracted a high volume of visitors, served not only as a showcase for manufacturing technologies but also as a vital platform for exploring new investment and collaboration opportunities within the sector. Featuring over 1,300 companies and representative firms, the event included direct participation from 156 international companies.

Among the 1,208 machines, 132 robots, and thousands of pieces of equipment exhibited, numerous next-generation technologies—many appearing in Türkiye for the first time—were presented to industry professionals who traveled from nearly 100 countries to attend the fair. Technologies spanning various fields of manufacturing—from CNC machines and machine tools to 5-axis machining centers, laser and welding technologies, measurement systems, CAD/CAM software, and solutions powered by robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence—were showcased together.

International business connections were established.

Through the Hosted Buyer Program held as part of MAKTEK Eurasia 2026, over 200 international buyers and representatives of purchasing delegations from 18 countries were hosted in Istanbul.

Procurement delegations from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Algeria, Morocco, Georgia, Iraq, Iran, Montenegro, Kosovo, Lebanon, North Macedonia, Egypt, Uzbekistan, Russia, Serbia, Tunisia, and Jordan explored new technologies and production solutions throughout the fair, engaging directly with the participating companies.

As part of a collaboration with MTD CNC—an initiative aimed at boosting the fair’s international visibility—the technologies and production solutions offered by the exhibitors were captured in professional video content and distributed via international digital channels to manufacturing professionals across the globe.

The future of manufacturing took shape at MAKTEKVERSE

MAKTEKVERSE, a technology-focused section of the fair, offered visitors the chance to experience the future of manufacturing firsthand. In this space, where the factories of tomorrow could be explored through VR and simulation applications, visitors encountered humanoid robots, robotic dogs, and interactive robotic technologies.

Meanwhile, the MAKTEKVERSE Stage hosted discussions on topics shaping the transformation of the manufacturing world—ranging from CNC technologies and autonomous AI to physical AI, XR, and digital twin technologies.

Strong interest from the youth in manufacturing technologies

One of the notable highlights of MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 was the significant interest shown by students. Thousands of students from Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Konya, Eskişehir, Karabük, Manisa, and Tekirdağ visited the fair.

Students had the opportunity to examine CNC machine tools, robotics and automation systems, AI-powered manufacturing solutions, measurement and quality control technologies, and digital manufacturing applications up close. These fair visits enabled the students to connect the knowledge gained during their education with real-world manufacturing technologies and to witness the transformation of the manufacturing industry firsthand.

The high level of student participation underscored the importance of a skilled workforce for the future of the sector, demonstrating that MAKTEK Eurasia serves as a meeting point not only for industry professionals and investors but also for the engineers and production personnel of tomorrow.

Following a successful event marked by heavy visitor traffic, international business engagements, new technology launches, and significant interest from the younger generation, the connections established and collaborations developed at MAKTEK Eurasia are expected to evolve into new commercial and technological opportunities within the manufacturing technologies sector.
