Roadmap for e-export incentives unveiled

The roadmap for the Ministry of Trade’s e-export incentives was presented during a special training program organized by Ticimax. Held at the Ticimax Campus, the event was attended by Hasan Önal, Head of the E-Export and Digital Marketing Department at the Ministry of Trade. The training program, which attracted significant interest from participants, covered the government incentives available to Turkish companies wishing to sell online abroad, application requirements, and key strategies for expanding into global markets. The program also addressed various stages of e-exporting, ranging from global payment and shipping processes to multi-language and multi-currency management, and from digital marketing to target market selection.
Delivering a speech during the session titled "E-Export Incentives and Expanding into Global Markets," Hasan Önal outlined Turkey’s e-export vision and the opportunities arising for businesses. In his presentation, Önal detailed the government incentives available for e-exporting, support for marketplaces and digital marketing, mechanisms for entering foreign markets, and the application processes. He also mentioned the Istanbul Global E-Export Summit (IGEXX), scheduled to take place at the Haliç Congress Center on September 3–5, 2026. (More than 40 global e-commerce platforms, representing a digital trade volume of $6.1 trillion, will gather in Istanbul from September 3–5 to meet with Turkish exporters. The Istanbul Global E-Export Summit will address topics such as expanding into new markets, AI-powered e-exports, and opportunities in Asian markets—particularly China. Participating marketplaces will include platforms operating on a global and regional scale, such as Amazon, Alibaba, Walmart Marketplace, eBay, TikTok Shop, SHEIN, Tmall, JD.com, Coupang, Wayfair, Otto, Kaufland, Cdiscount, eMAG, Mercado Libre, Noon, Jumia, Zalora, and Takealot.)
The event also addressed the technological and operational aspects of e-exports. Participants were introduced to Ticimax’s technology and infrastructure solutions that support global sales processes, highlighting the fundamental building blocks businesses need when launching international sales.
During a session covering global payment systems, international shipping and operations management, multi-language and multi-currency capabilities, as well as digital marketing and growth strategies, technological solutions were shared to help businesses manage their e-export processes more effectively.
The program featured not only the theoretical and technical dimensions of e-exports but also real-world corporate experience. The session titled "A Real Success Story in E-Exports"—featuring Ticimax CEO Cenk Çiğdemli and Karaköy Güllüoğlu E-Commerce Manager Abdullah Özkan—explored Karaköy Güllüoğlu’s journey into online international sales. Discussions covered a wide range of topics, from the company's initial steps into e-exports and target market selection to payment and operations management and the solutions provided by the Ticimax infrastructure. Insights were also shared regarding the brand's current standing in e-exports, its future goals, and recommendations for businesses looking to expand into global markets. Ticimax CEO Cenk Çiğdemli stated that Ticimax would continue to offer innovative solutions tailored to business needs across the entire e-export spectrum—from technology to global growth—adding, "We will continue to stand by brands expanding from Turkey to the world."
