The electricity needs of 1,230,000 households will be met by renewable energy.

Eksim Energy, accelerating its green energy investments, is carrying out capacity increase projects at its existing power plants while continuing to invest in new ones. The company aims to increase capacity to 129 MW with the addition of 10 new wind turbines at the Silivri Wind Power Plant. Additionally, capacity expansion work at the Wind Power Plant in the Killik district of Tokat has been completed, while new power plant installations in Karaman and Yozgat are progressing at full speed. Eksim Energy plans to increase its total installed renewable energy capacity to 1,030 MW by the end of the year through domestic and international investments, aiming to meet the energy needs of approximately 1.23 million households with the energy it generates.

Eksim Energy, committed to contributing to Turkey’s green energy transformation, continues to launch new projects and increase its installed capacity. The company has accelerated its capacity expansion efforts in line with its “2035 Renewable Energy Targets.” Among these projects, the Eksim Energy wind power plant in Silivri, Istanbul, known for its high wind efficiency, will reach 108 MW of installed capacity by the end of 2025, making a significant contribution to the region’s energy needs.

”The clean energy we produce will meet the needs of 1.23 million households.”

Eksim Energy CEO Arkın Akbay emphasized the special importance of Silivri as it implements strategic investments in many regions of Turkey, saying:

”Our wind power plant in Silivri has been one of our company’s most efficient and electricity-producing power plants since 2014. To date, this plant has generated 2.2 million MWh of electricity, meeting the electricity needs of approximately 760,000 households. Now, in addition to our 23 operating turbines, we have commissioned three more with Ministry approval. We are progressing toward completing our 40.3 MW capacity expansion project currently under construction. Since its establishment, we have invested $100 million in our power plant, and we will commission five more turbines by the end of the year, and two more next year,” he said.

Arkın Akbay stated that they have reached approximately 1,000 MW of installed capacity domestically and internationally, including wind, solar, and hydroelectric power plants. He said, “With our international investments, we aim to increase our installed capacity from 930 MW to 1,030 MW by the end of the year. This growth will place our company among the top 10 players in renewable energy and the top 3 in wind energy. The energy needs of approximately 1,230,000 households will be met by renewable energy.”
