FANUC Turkey 2023 Partner Meeting, organized by FANUC, which directs factory automation as the only company that develops and produces every important component for hardware and software in-house, was held at Sheraton Grand Istanbul Ataşehir. The meeting, where issues including the opportunities of the new era, the appearance of local-global projections and innovative robot technologies were discussed and ideas were exchanged, was hosted by FANUC Europe President and CEO Marco Ghirardello and FANUC Turkey General Manager Teoman Alper Yiğit.
Words of praise for Turkey from Marco Ghirardello
Speaking at the FANUC Turkey 2023 Partner Meeting with his speech titled “Global Outlook”, FANUC Europe President and CEO Marco Ghirardello said, “As a company that adds value to factory automation, today we serve with 271 subsidiaries and more than 8,200 colleagues around the world. At this point, the European continent is very valuable for FANUC because we make 15-20 percent of our global sales to Europe. Similarly, approximately 20 of our employees serve in Europe.
At this point, Turkey has great value for FANUC with its opportunities and perspective on automation. We are making our investments in order to turn this into mutual benefit and make our ties with Turkey even stronger. “As FANUC, our journey in Turkey continues with firm steps within the framework of our rules of respect, passion and quality, which are the foundations of our company.”
Industrial automation market will reach a size of 211.5 billion dollars by the end of this year
Speaking after the opening speeches of the meeting, FANUC Turkey General Manager Teoman Alper Yiğit said in his presentation titled “Opportunities in the New Era”, “The industrial automation market size, which reached 195.7 billion dollars in 2022, will reach 211.5 billion dollars at the end of this year with a compound annual growth rate of 9 percent.” is expected to come out. Again, according to the industrial automation global market research of the Tibetan Buddhist Resource Center (TBRC), the market size is estimated to reach 459.5 billion dollars in 2032. This rapid rise in industrial automation systems also serves as a warning for us to take action and invest in automation and digitalization. When we look at these figures specifically for machine tools, which are indispensable for industrial production, we see a similar picture. The global machine tool market, which was 66.1 billion dollars in 2022, is expected to reach 107.7 billion dollars by 2030. As a company that is today the global market leader in CNC systems for machine tools and the global market leader in the field of industrial robots, our aim is to bring the value we produce to all branches of the industry and grow together. “Only in this way can we seize and realize the opportunities of the new era,” he said.
“Sustainable production” and “environmental awareness” are essential growth factors
Touching on the main growth factors in today’s world during his speech, Yiğit continued his words as follows: “Solutions with higher accuracy and precision, higher product quality and sustainable production have a big share in growing in the manufacturing industry. In addition, artificial intelligence, robotics, automation, digitalization and the Internet of Things (IoT) are concepts that we need to adopt in order to build the future. Of course, while taking all these into consideration, we should, as always, not forget environmental concerns and choose environmentally friendly machines that use less energy and produce less waste.”
FANUC Turkey’s new technology center will open in the first half of 2024
In his speech, Yiğit also shared the latest information about the current status of the new technology center, which will be implemented with an investment of approximately 15 million Euros, and said, “Work continues rapidly in our new technology center, the foundation of which was laid in Sancaktepe in August last year, in order to ensure a consistent and healthy growth. This new building of 10 thousand 300 square meters is being built to feed the market more effectively. This complex will include a showroom where we can exhibit and operate products, an academy and application center where we can train qualified personnel for the sector, as well as our second repair center and retrofit area in Europe. In addition, we want to provide added value to both our sector, industrialists and students. “We plan to move to our new technology center in the first half of 2024.”
FANUC Turkey 2023 Partner Meeting ended after the plaque was presented to the participants and the souvenir photo was taken.
