Kardemir Çelik Sanayi, one of the largest industrial establishments in Turkey and one of the leading players in the iron and steel sector, continues its performance that left its mark in 2023 by increasing it in 2024.
The company increased its turnover in the first 6 months of 2023 by almost 100% in the same period of 2024, reaching 9 billion TL.
Kardemir Çelik, whose foundations were laid in Denizli in 1968, makes a difference in the sector today with more than 1200 employees, 5 production lines and an annual production capacity of over 2.5 million tons. The company’s turnover is expected to reach 14 billion TL as of September 2024 and 20 billion TL by the end of the year. These targets reveal that an increase of up to 80% is foreseen in Kardemir’s annual turnover.
Record-Breaking Performance in Exports
Kardemir Çelik also draws attention with its success in exports. As of the end of July 2024, the company, which has exported 140 million USD, increased this figure by 25% compared to the same period last year. Kardemir aims to close 2024 with 275 million USD in exports, while strengthening its place among Turkey’s largest exporters by exporting products to more than 100 countries. The company continues to consolidate its strong position in the national and international arena by ranking as the 10th largest industrial enterprise in the Aegean Region and 110th among the 500 largest industrial enterprises in Turkey.
Investing in the Future: Sustainability and Green Energy
Kardemir Çelik is asserting its claim not only in production but also in the field of sustainability. The company is accelerating its green energy investments with the aim of reducing its environmental impact and minimizing energy dependency. The 4 MW solar power plant, which will be commissioned in 2024, will be operational in October. With this investment, the company’s energy production capacity will reach a total of 24 MW with the Bozyaka Wind Power Plant. Kardemir aims to further increase its global competitive power with its environmentally friendly production processes.
