Schneider Electric Transforms Power Distribution in Critical Industries with MasterPacT MTZ Active

• Schneider Electric introduced its revolutionary new circuit breaker MasterPacT MTZ Active at an event held in 5 provinces.

• The product will provide real-time energy monitoring and measurement to accelerate the decision-making process and sustainability goals while reducing downtime.

• The product control unit, with its QR code solution, which is a first in the sector, determines the root cause of delays and problems, and optimizes the decision-making process in critical industries, including data center operators, and offers the opportunity to increase efficiency.

Schneider Electric, a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, introduced MasterPacT MTZ Active with the launch held in Istanbul, Bursa, Ankara, Adana and Izmir, setting new standards for efficiency and sustainability. Nearly 300 Schneider Electric business partners from different provinces attended the product launch meeting held in Istanbul.

The MasterPacT MTZ Active launch, which was attended by 1,200 people in 5 cities, was based on the expectation that data centers will grow rapidly by 12% annually and generate revenues of $85 billion by 2024, and this positive expectation also shows that data center resilience is one of the areas the industry needs to improve.

Gartner experts estimate that data center outages can cost businesses up to $300,000 per hour. Therefore, the business case for investing in innovation and technology to ensure data center resilience has never been stronger.

In a world increasingly dependent on electricity and digitization, MasterPacT MTZ Active enables data center customers to respond to complex challenges such as 24/7 operating demands, rising energy costs, and urgent calls for sustainable applications.

It not only provides solutions for data center customers, but also for critical and medium-sized applications in all other sectors

“The new MasterPacT MTZ Active makes information that is not in the foreground visible so that critical industry operators can see and track their energy usage in real time,” said Schneider Electric Turkey, Central Asia and Pakistan Region Deputy Channel General Manager Alişan Çapan. “By making such information available at a single glance, data center operators are empowered to make better decisions in energy management, reduce consumption, eliminate waste and increase efficiency.”

MasterPacT MTZ Active: Ready for Action

The first MasterPacT product was launched 35 years ago and has been synonymous with circuit breaker innovation and reliability ever since. Now, with smart and communicative power distribution becoming a necessity, Schneider Electric is revolutionizing the MasterPacT series to improve circuit breaker performance in the data center.

The control unit of the new MasterPacT MTZ Active accelerates delays with an industry-first QR code solution. “There’s no need to waste time on a 200-page document,” Çapan said, noting that data center operators can identify the root cause of inefficiencies by scanning the code and optimize the decision-making process for the most effective corrective actions to reduce data center downtime. “In the event of an overload, you are quickly informed that you need to distribute the loads more evenly across circuits.”

MasterPacT MTZ Active also sets new standards for safety in the data center. “Energy Reduction Maintenance Setting (ERMS) protects maintenance personnel from arc flash hazards, and the intuitive design of the control unit makes it easy to set all protection functions, including current time delays and alarms.
