Systemair Turkey, which continues its work with the mission of providing fresh air for living spaces, has been selected as Sustainability in the Large-Scale Business Category in the KSO Sustainability Awards organization, which was held for the first time this year with the redesigned version of the “Sectoral Performance Evaluation” award organization, which has been organized by the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry for 15 years, with the theme of sustainability at its center. Won the Third Prize. Ayça Eroğlu received the award on behalf of Systemair Türkiye.
“We aim to reduce our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 50 percent.” Sharing her thoughts about the award won after the organization, Systemair Turkey Deputy General Manager Ayşegül Eroğlu said, “As a company that offers air conditioning solutions to the whole world, we have planned all the important steps we have taken for many years with our sustainability perspective, We are planning. This valuable award is not only a reward for the successful work we have accomplished so far, but also inspires us for the steps we will take from now on. While we achieve Systemair’s global sustainability goals, we will also continue to produce new projects that will add value to our industry. In this context, as Systemair, we aim to reduce our scope 1 and scope 2 emissions from various operations by 50 percent by 2030/31 compared to the 2019/20 period. “In parenthesis, I would like to thank my colleagues who brought this award to our company, and all my colleagues who contributed to our sustainability journey, supported us with their work, and put in effort,” he said.
The first factory that can report environmental impacts
Evaluating the award, Systemair Turkey Quality Manager Güven Ertan Patlar said: “As Systemair Turkey, sustainability constitutes one of the most important building blocks of our production area. We have efficient resource practices in our factory, such as rainwater collection, thermal insulation, use of water and energy-saving equipment, efficient heating and cooling systems, and heat recovery systems from waste. We also shape our production processes on the basis of sustainability. For example, we were the first factory in our country that was able to report the environmental impacts of its products throughout their life cycle. We are very happy and proud that we have carried out all these studies successfully and have been deemed worthy of this award. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our managers, who not only enabled us to achieve this award, but also always supported us in our sustainability journey with the support they gave us.”
