Explaining Tezmaksan’s sustainability strategy as high added value and advanced technology, Tezmaksan General Manager Hakan Aydoğdu said the following about their work in this direction: “In today’s world, companies have great duties in terms of production and use of technology. Our companies need to use technology to reduce these costs. In this direction, we develop technologies that will provide maximum efficiency by reducing unit costs in order to mitigate climate risks. In addition, we continue our R&D studies to ensure efficiency in every step of our business processes. Our goal at this point is to protect Turkey’s production power by developing projects compatible with global trends, and to increase our country’s manufacturing capacity by supporting every player, big or small, in the industrial sector. While choosing our suppliers, we pay attention to the results of risk assessment as well as their economic and strategic importance. In line with the right production strategy, we only import products that have the European Safety Norms Conformity Certificate (CE).
While directing the future, “human” is at the center
Stating that the second step of the sustainability strategy is investing in the new generation industrial society, Aydoğdu said,emphasized that they believe that they should put “human” at the center while directing the future. Aydoğdu explained the company’s efforts in this direction with the following sentences: “Tezmaksan Academy is a non-profit education platform and development center serving the industry, offering educational content in different categories. We pay great attention to the sustainability and continuity of the projects we carry out by Tezmaksan Academy. Our projects have continued to grow since the day we were founded. Under the umbrella of the Academy, we provide free CNC training to all technical and vocational high school students and engineering faculty students. In line with the collaborations we have made with universities in many parts of our country, we offer students the opportunity for practical training as well as theory. For diversity in the industry and the workplace, we strive to be an ethical, reliable company where everyone affected by our activities can ensure that their rights are respected. We plan activities and trainings that will ensure the continuous development of our employees in order to gain the most talented employees and provide them with a satisfactory work environment by supporting the innovation culture.”
Tezmaksan is environmentally friendly with its sustainable production strategy.
Stating that they carry out environmentally friendly operations in line with the sustainability move in line with the production strategy that respects nature and people, Aydoğdu said, “We are taking firm steps forward in innovation and technological transformation with Industry 4.0 applications. We follow the prominent changes and sanctions in the sector, and we design our long-term strategy by considering these factors. In the upcoming period, we design our business strategy by taking into account the prominent global trade rules, the new benefits, the European Union Green Agreement, risks and opportunities, and we aim to maintain our competitive attitude. In this context, as of 2020, we started our monitoring, calculation and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions arising from our activities. In our factory, which we laid the foundation of in Sivas Nuri Demirağ Organized Industrial Zone and will open in 2023, there will be a 320-ton rainwater collection system, gray water use, green areas created with endemic vegetation that need less water. In addition, we made a plan to obtain the energy we need in production with roof solar panels of 4 thousand square meters. In addition, it will be a leader in energy and environmental design in accordance with the European Green Deal. We aim to obtain the Leed Gold certificate, which means friendly building. Thanks to the versatility of our sustainability strategy, we will continue to produce solutions and draw our 2023 and 2030 projections in this direction.”

Stating that they also implement sustainable strategies in the corporate governance step, Aydoğdu said, “We support and effectively manage our corporate governance practices with sustainable management practices. All of our operations are carried out in line with our ethical principles and stakeholder expectations are gathered through different communication channels and included in the decision-making processes. At this point, the fact that 40 percent of our Tezmaksan Board of Directors is composed of women reflects our determination to gender equality in the best way. Our goal is to reach a 50 percent female employee rate in the entire workforce. In addition, we attach importance to polyphony with our perspective on different ideas in our communication with stakeholders while adding value to our strength. R&D and innovation, information and data security, employee development, digital transformation, economic performance, business ethics and transparency, occupational health and safety, customer satisfaction and communication, diversity in the sector and workplace, relations with society and impact on society and product quality We are deepening our work in this direction by considering how and to what extent the priority issues consisting of security and safety serve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”.
