The eagerly awaited MAKTEK SMART - New Generation Machines, Smart and Autonomous Production Systems Fair in the manufacturing technologies sector is preparing to open its doors for the first time at Tüyap Fair and Congress Center on November 5-8, 2025.
The fair, organized by Tüyap Fair Organization Group in cooperation with Turkey’s leading industrial association TİAD (Machine Tools Industrialists and Businessmen Association), MAKFED (Turkish Machinery Federation), ROBODER (Robot Integrators and High-Technology System Manufacturers Association), is a first in the sector. The fair also plays an important role in technology transfer.

Speaking at the press launch where information about the fair was given, Tüyap Fairs Construction Inc. General Manager İlhan Ersözlü said the following: ‘‘We are excited to bring our MAKTEK SMART Fair to life on November 5-8, 2025 at the Istanbul Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, in cooperation with TİAD, MAKFED and ROBODER. This fair is a first in Turkey; it is the only platform that aims to realize digitalization in industrial production and the Industry 5.0 vision. Stating that the Turkish industry is preparing for a brand new fair where it will closely get to know innovative production technologies, Murat Akyüz, Chairman of the Board of Machine Tools Industrialists and Business People Association (TİAD), continued his words as follows: “MAKTEK SMART will be the meeting point of smart and artificial intelligence-based production technologies that companies enrich with their knowledge transfer in our region. While designing this fair with TÜYAP, MAKFED and ROBODER, we aimed to host technologies that have not yet fully emerged in the global arena. MAKFED (Turkish Machinery Federation) Board Chairman Adnan Dalgakıran said the following in his speech: “Today, ‘doing’ is no longer everything. What is really important in the 21st century is cooperation and organizational skills. When we look at human history, the speed of change has increased incredibly
in recent years. We no longer know what we will encounter in 5 years. In this case, our focus should be the ability to change. Instead of resisting change, we should place the question ‘How can we do everything we do differently?’ at the center of our thinking system. MAKTEK SMART is an organization that goes beyond the classical fair understanding based solely on ‘doing’. Making machines, robots, software or electronics alone does not mean anything; what is important is the combination of all these. This fair will be an important step in how we will achieve this combination, how we will direct people to think differently, and how we will increase organizational skills and cooperation.”

ROBODER (Robot Integrators and High-Tech System Manufacturers Association) Chairman of the Board of Directors Murat Yarış said: “In order to survive and even get ahead in the new world order, we must maximize our competitive power.
